New York City Chapter Project 2


It is amazing how happy people are when they are warm and know that people care.	Emmaus House is a house of comfort that helps feed, house and comfort those in need.	Removed boilers aren’t typically a nice picture but thought we’d share the generosity of Applied Tech for donation of a complete HB Smith boiler pkge.

Emmaus House is a very special project. It is special because everything lined up perfectly for this job that helps so many people. As the House Manager of Emmaus House - Harlem tells us, “we had never heard of Oil Heat Cares before February 29th, the day our boiler stopped working; now we are familiar with your organization that helps our local community by feeding the hungry, housing the homeless and providing clothes and other necessities to those in need.”

We learned of the need for a new boiler when a phone call was initiated by Mr. Centeno to our office. An e-mail was sent to Dave Wagner and Angel Gonzalez, New York City Chapter. Within a day, Angel responded that he’d be going into Harlem the next day and would check-out the project. Quickly the project was approved and a team of volunteers including Atlas Fuel, Consumer Energy, Combind Oil and Roberto Perrotto P.E. donated labor and talent to get heat back into Emmaus House.
