Eastern CT Chapter Project 4


Out with the old, in with the new.	The brand new furnace and water heater made for a comfortable winter.	Bad weather could not stop this installation from happening.

When Bill Nye, V.P. Eastern CT Chapter learned of a family in need, he got involved. How could you not when you learn about a family who is raising their 9-year old grandson and they are struggling financially because of a medical complication that caused the amputation of the husband’s leg thus putting more burden on his wife to work outside the home.

The project started with the approval of a new Olsen furnace that was purchased through B&D Supply. After further inspection, they learned that this family had been without hot water for over three weeks, so a new hot water heater was added to the shopping list.

Neither snow nor rain stopped this project – well, it almost did, but the good news is that John Taylor, Canterbury Ct and his brother Larry joined Bill with the installation of the furnace and then February 23rd, Todd and Russ from Ed’s Garage joined Bill with the installation of the new water heater.
