Carl Mellinger of B.G. Mellinger, Willow Street, PA works with CAP (Community Action Program) and he was asked by one of the workers if he could help one of their clients, Mr. Myers. Knowing that this senior gentleman was having a very tough time, Carl stepped up to the plate to replace a tired old furnace.

Carl requested his contact with CAP write a letter to Oil Heat Cares describing the situation of Mr. Myers. We learned that the anticipated oil usage with the old boiler would be 1715 gallons this upcoming season and that his monthly budget plan would be raised to $414.00 per month. Mr. Myers did not have the funds to purchase a new heating system and with the old system and he couldn’t afford to buy the oil. CAP is trying to find a way to weatherize the old house so that he can be more comfortable this season.
