Fairfield County Chapter Project 1
Bill Delaney and Jon Kazmercyk working together on the first Fairfield County OHC job. The new Weil-McLain boiler and indirect water heater will definitely keep the home of Jane and Francesca warm. Al Breda, Sippon Energy spearheaded this project. But it took the efforts of several people to pull it all together.
With some of the coldest weather to date, the Fairfield County Chapter came to the rescue of Jane and Francesca. The ladies needed to replace their worn out boiler but due to multiple illnesses, the ladies just didn’t have the funds to replace the heater. Al Breeda, Sippin Energy, Monroe, CT spearheaded the project.

As with all jobs, it takes a “crew” to make one of these projects happen. It takes funding, which is the purpose of OHC, it takes a supply house to work with the volunteers and in this case, thanks to New England Heating Supply. A special thanks to the driver, Louis – he stayed behind and helped remove the old boiler and bring in the new Weil-McLain boiler and indirect hot water heater.

The Fairfield County Chapter meeting was timely, it was December 5th and Al planned to do the installation on the 6th. He requested help at the meeting and in return, he got just the right number of volunteers to complete the job. Al had his lead installer helping out, Jon Kazmercyk and Fairfield County members Angelo Formato; Bill Delaney and Pat Scarpone. As with many if not all OHC projects, the completed project brings pride to many and I know that Al is as proud as a peacock of those that helped make this project possible.
